jillian and dave, who wed last june at the congregation rodeph shalom before celebrating amongst family and friends at the please touch museum, desired a balance of elegance and quirk for their invitation suite. their two color letterpress invites were entirely eggplant purple except for the pop of a chartreuse green bow tie indicating guests to sport their very own green bow ties in honor of the couples’ favorite color! their rsvp postcards were presented in madlibs style and featured an 1876 etching of memorial hall during the world’s fair as a homage to their playful reception venue. but the quirkiest part of their cards, perhaps, were the minute details that were added to show the couple’s personality. an alpaca etching was featured on the kraft paper tags, to represent the unforgettable day that dave proposed to jillian in front of a live alpaca! there is also a mini alpaca hidden in the postcard image along with custom monogrammed laurels. their suite was tied together with a chartreuse silk ribbon and tag announcing their website before being mailed out in pale gray envelopes digitally printed with guests’ addresses. we are thrilled with the completion of this suite, and wish this couple a lifetime of fun and fulfillment together!

work wednesday: dara + salvatore. part one.

gold, glitter + sparkle…that is what dara + salvatore’s wedding day and stationery were all about. we loved working with them to create a custom invitation package that was unique to their personalities. the two were married on a warm sunny day this past june. their romantic outdoor ceremony took place at the morris house hotel which was followed by an evening reception at front & palmer in philadelphia. for their invitations, they wanted something that felt elegant and more formal than their handkerchief save the dates, yet still a little playful. their invite was letterpress with blush ink fonts and a dash of chevron. they chose a mad libs style rsvp postcard for their guests to have fun with their responses! we also designed a map full of festive icons for various points of interest along the route from venue to venue. everything was held together with a patterned kraft belly band wrapped in metallic twine and finished with a die cut tag with their monogram. their glitter lined envelopes were hand addressed in navy ink by danica, from the butler’s pantry.

the fun did not stop with their invites…check back next week to see their day of materials!

work wednesday: melissa + james.

melissa and james will be wed this coming october at the heroes ballroom in philadelphia. melissa loved the idea of peacock feathers combined with a jewel tone palette of wine and teal. the couple selected a stacked format of layered feather patterns for the invite, rsvp postcard and folded info card. they requested that the rsvp card be done in mad libs style, with fill in the blanks for guests to get creative. we love how this gives guests an opportunity to have fun while still providing the necessary information. melissa and james are getting a kick out of their guests’ responses as they come in the mail each day! the packages was wrapped with a wine colored jute twine and finished with a custom tag with a little fox, symbolizing their last name.
