we are sending lots of summer wedding invites to the printer as we speak and can’t wait to share these beauties! in the meantime we dove into our archives to find this film poster-inspired wedding invitation we designed for raina and brian back in 2010. raina is an active theater performer and their ceremony and reception was appropriately held at the chestnut club in philadelphia. this venue was the first movie theater in the city and is known for its detailed architecture and exposed brick walls. raina loved the idea of a film noir poster invite to set the tone for their wedding day. we took this idea to the next step with a tear-off reply postcard and directional. the bride was also fortunate to have katherine hepburn postage stamps released right before her mailing. we love when a theme can be carried all the way through to the stamps!
