lauren + thomas are getting married this april at the gorgeous caneel bay resort in cruz bay, st. john, u.s. virgin islands. lauren requested a chic and classic package that hinted at the islands. we used a traditional color palette of charcoal gray and sky blue on a warm white cotton paper. we achieved a timeless elegance with a mix of two cursive fonts. the invitation was letterpress and tied to the front of a pocket with fine italian cotton ribbon and a tag. the symbol on the tag is the resort’s logo inspired by an ancient column. when the invite is flipped over the pocket is revealed which keeps the rehearsal invite, welcome invite, reception card and rsvp postcard in place. the envelope was lined with a solid charcoal liner to add some contrast. the return address was pressed into the envelope flap and hand addressed in charcoal gray ink by helene gaffin. custom postage finished the package; a close up of the palms for the outer envelope and the resort logo for the rsvp postcard.
