patricia and rory became husband and wife at the end of may at st. patrick’s church followed by a reception at the historic union league of philadelphia. they wanted to carry their classic navy, gold and stripe theme over from their save the dates that we designed a few months ago. their invitation was letterpress with navy ink and a blind deboss striped border for subtle texture. the inserts were printed full color on ivory metallic paper to bring in some more texture and shine. we used an old sepia colored photograph of the union league for the front of the reply postcard and added some fun to the back with icons that represented food and after party options. the details card included a simple map of center city philadelphia where events and accommodations were indicated. the cards were held together with a simple navy paper band, glittery twine and a metallic monogram tag. the suite was mailed out in a navy envelope with angled gold calligraphy by the butler’s pantry.
we’ve also included the program and wrap around menu to share how the design was carried throughout their wedding day.
Great invitations. I do really love your works. Keep it up, see you on your next project.
