work wednesday: katherine + sean.

 













katherine and sean celebrated their wedding this past may at st. john the evangelist church in philadelphia followed by an elegant affair at the union league. the overall aesthetic of their invitation suite was inspired by katherine’s grandmother’s own wedding invitation. we used a delicate cursive typeface to mimic the wispy handwriting from the vintage stationery suite. the invitation was tastefully engraved with navy ink on a duplexed felt stock with painted gold edging. the reply card, reception card, details card with a custom map of the city, and belly band were printed flat in full color. katherine asked for a timeless monogram to use throughout her wedding materials, so we added some vintage romance with the laurels. we also had the pleasure of designing the couples day of materials. the vintage touches continued onto the wedding wish cards for the bride and groom inspired by an old-fashioned telegram. the program, menu, and escort cards were designed to mat​ch the invite suite. we wish this timeless couple a lifetime of happiness!
