work wednesday: rachel + ron.

rachel and ron celebrated their nuptials back in november at their garden-fairytale-destination wedding in new orleans, louisiana. their ceremony was held at corpus christi-epiphany church and the good times rolled into their reception at the pavilion of two sisters. we really enjoyed creating their iconic new orleans save the date last year, however, they requested their invitation suite to have a more romantic and formal vibe. with a similar color palette of plum and olive green, we designed their stacked package which allowed us to overlap rustic magnolias with other enchanted patterns. their letterpress invitation was a combination of formal and handwritten scripts decorated with hand-drawn flourishes. they selected an rsvp postcard and a folded information card which housed the remaining details plus a custom map of the french quarter to encourage their guests to explore. we finished the package with natural and metallic gold baker’s twine and a custom monogrammed tag. their layered bundle was mailed to guests in a gold glitter lined kraft envelope and hand addressed in metallic plum ink by the fabulous mandy from myrtle & lloyd. we were also asked to create a few day of pieces including these kraft paper menus and over-sized wedding programs.

we wish the newlyweds a happily ever after and look forward to sharing the big day in a few weeks.

work wednesday: nicole + ian.

nicole and ian celebrated their nuptials in early september at an intimate, early evening ceremony on the greens of nags head golf links in north carolina. nicole had a vision of a classic and fresh style with a palette of navy and white with and a pop of lemon! her stacked invitation suite was full of graphic patterns and traditional typography. in addition to the invitation, their package also included a rsvp postcard and folded details card. everything was held together with a belly band, tied with a white satin ribbon and finished with a simple circular monogram tag. we also designed a few pieces for their big day, including place cards and a thank you card that was placed at each table setting. we wish these newlyweds a happy + bright life together!

work wednesday: vicky + edward.

vicky and edward were married this past weekend at the luxurious ballroom at park lane in cleveland, ohio. we collaborated with danica, from the butler’s pantry to create a complete custom calligraphy invitation suite. we used danica’s stunning handwriting as artwork for the entire package. the letterpress invitation, rsvp card, reception card and accommodation card were all printed in a beautiful, bold red ink. each package was tied with a soft peach silk ribbon. the mailing envelopes were addressed in gold metallic ink. in addition, we also used danica’s calligraphy services for vicky’s die cut place card tags. we cannot wait to share the photos from their big day!

work wednesday: patricia + rory.

patricia and rory became husband and wife at the end of may at st. patrick’s church followed by a reception at the historic union league of philadelphia. they wanted to carry their classic navy, gold and stripe theme over from their save the dates that we designed a few months ago. their invitation was letterpress with navy ink and a blind deboss striped border for subtle texture. the inserts were printed full color on ivory metallic paper to bring in some more texture and shine. we used an old sepia colored photograph of the union league for the front of the reply postcard and added some fun to the back with icons that represented food and after party options. the details card included a simple map of center city philadelphia where events and accommodations were indicated. the cards were held together with a simple navy paper band, glittery twine and a metallic monogram tag. the suite was mailed out in a navy envelope with angled gold calligraphy by the butler’s pantry.

we’ve also included the program and wrap around menu to share how the design was carried throughout their wedding day.
