amber’s goodbye.

Today is my last post with loveleigh. I am now off to my last semester of school! I had such an amazing experience creating stationery and assisting with social media. I wanted to share my latest letterpress project with you all. It’s a page from the book, To Kill a Mockingbird, that took a few hours to test and print. I am happy with the two ink colors that I chose, a dark eggplant purple contrasted with a light moss green. I am currently in the process of printing a poster for the book and one page for a calendar. Each student is in charge of designing a month and then we are going to put everyone’s pages together to create a 2018 calendar. I hope you all enjoyed seeing what I’ve been up to. Have a great weekend!

it was 57 degrees here today, practically spring!! it’s amazing what this weather can do to your mood! we are celebrating this winter warm up with these vibrant invitations and tea towel we designed for sam + dirk’s farmhouse wedding. we blogged about their suite details a few months ago, but we just had to share these recent and very stunning photos taken by alison conklin.

intern inspiration: letterpress.

I am taking a letterpress class during my winter break. So far I have created a test print of a dog and sun that I may turn into a card and made a vintage Christmas coaster. My teacher has a room full of drawers filled with type and image letterpress pieces. Right now we are currently working on a book page with one paragraph of text. It takes many hours to sort through each letter and line each word up correctly. I have learned that you need set up each word backwards which makes it difficult. It’s a fun class, but I am thankful that printing today is a lot quicker and easier!

happy holidays.

wishing our clients, friends + family a holiday + new year filled with sparkle + shine! along with all the things that make you smile!

lettuce taco about aiden’s bar mitzvah save the date! his special event will be taking place on cinco de mayo, so touches of mexico were an absolute must. we printed the 2 color save the date on kraft cover and mailed it out in a translucent vellum envelope stuffed with extra large confetti. they were sealed with bold address labels that happily greeted guests with ‘hola’. we are eager to begin the invitation design!
