we are so excited to share jenni and jb’s invitation suite with you! these two love birds said i do in front of family and friends last weekend at our lady of good counsel church, in southampton, pennsylvania. their celebration continued at the barn on bridge in collegeville, pennsylvania. this bride and groom requested their invitations reflect the rustic beauty of their venue; a canvas of market lights, wooden beams and original stone walls. this package was all about texture. with a palette of warm tones of ivory, grey and brown, their invitation was brimming with lace and poster style typography. it was screen printed, by sire press, with white ink { yay! } onto a wood grain embossed kraft cover stock. the rsvp postcard and folded details card, complete with custom map, were stacked and wrapped with a grey vintage lace and gold metallic baker’s twine. the suite was adorned with a square screen printed tag. these charming bundles arrived to guests in matching kraft wood grain embossed envelopes. we just loved designing this suite for jenni and jb. we wish them all the happiness as they start this new chapter of their lives.

work wednesday: mila rae’s first birthday.

with valentine’s day quickly approaching, we are happy to share miss mila’s first birthday party invitation! i (dee) just love the wizard of oz and used that as my inspiration for her somewhere over the rainbow party theme. i designed a flat, double-sided card full off happy hearts, rainbows, arrows and hand-drawn fonts. our friend ralph of pink bike ralph, screen printed them with the most beautiful shimmery gold metallic ink i have ever seen. i tied them all with rainbow or red ruby slipper ribbon and then mailed them in red envelopes which i hand addressed in metallic gold ink. i can’t wait to share her big day with you all!

work wednesday: jahri + takia.

jahri (an offensive guard for the new orleans saints!) + takia will be getting married this june in the beautiful islands of the bahamas. with the assistance of their wedding planner, gina sole, they have planned an elegant wedding with a color palette of black, gold, and ivory with touches of blush pink. they wanted to wow their guests with a save the date that got them super excited for their destination wedding. takia suggested we incorporate a bottle of rum to hint at the island wedding. we customized the bottle with a label-style save the date where all of the information besides the wedding destination was included. an ombre silk ribbon was used to tie a miniature folded tag to the top of the bottle with a scratch-off inside. guests had to scratch the gold circle with a coin to reveal where the wedding will take place. we secured the glass bottle inside a small wooden crate filled with shredded pink paper. the lid was silk screened by awesome dudes printing with the couple’s monogram for that extra special personal touch.

we designed an alternative flat save the date card for their guests who do not drink alcohol. this was printed on metallic ivory paper, wrapped with ribbon and the scratch off tag and mailed in a black envelope with wrap around label.

we are beginning their invitations now and can’t wait to share these beauties as well!

work wednesday: dara + salvatore.

dara and salvatore will be married this june at the elegant and lofty venue, pêche, located in philadelphia. they wanted their guests to save their date in a super fun and unique way, with custom printed handkerchiefs! dara spent many months creating her eclectic collection of vintage hankies. from lace, to floral, to white…we loved how they were all different and each guest would receive something truly special. each handkerchief was screen printed with navy ink by our friends at awesome dudes printing. they were then folded and placed into a folded kraft enclosure and held in place with a piece of peach hand-dyed twine by olive manna (we are obssessed with her spools). these cute bundles were placed into a matching kraft envelope with a custom geometric patterned liner and finished with a custom mailing label. we are in love with this pretty package and look forward to working on their invitations.

elizabeth + kevin save the date.

some screenprinting process photos…

save-the-date posters! designed for elizabeth and kevin’s summer wedding at terrain at styers. elizabeth, owner of peacock feathers event + style, wanted to include some fun creatures that her and kevin both adore, along with bright colors, and blocky retro text. they wanted a poster — so we offered to screen print it to truly make it a work of art and give it that handmade feel. cheyenne’s husband — dave (master screen printer) helped make this happen! we are thrilled with the way these turned out! the final product was loosely rolled and tied with twine and inserted into cardboard tubes. what a great package to receive in the mail!
…we cannot wait to work on the invitation!

wedding frames.

we recently completed this frame for our friend mindy. it was a wedding gift for her brother james and his new wife cheri. she purchased the frame from this great store on etsy, second line frames. they salvaged wood siding of homes destroyed during hurricane katrina and converted them into amazings frames, “preserving a little part of the beloved memory of old New Orleans while helping to rebuild it toward a better tomorrow.”

mindy wanted it to have the same elements of the announcement we recently designed for the newly weds. our friends over at awesome dudes printing screenprinted the art for us.
