work wednesday: photo save the dates.

two simply pretty save the dates created for two different couples, both using beautiful photography by alison conklin. engagement photo shoots are such a personal way to announce your wedding to friends and family. the first is a relaxed and modern style save the date we designed for kelsey + adam. this graphic card was sent out in a muted gray envelope. we created the second, more formal save the date for colleen + dan using a black and white photo paired with traditional cursive and serif fonts. this double-sided card was mailed out in a silver metallic envelope.

work wednesday: alison conklin.

time goes by so fast. you must never miss the opportunity to tell these people how much they mean to you. — words that everyone should live by from the final episode of cheers.

with love in the air this valentine’s week, we thought we would share these sentimental postcards we designed for photographer, alison conklin. she wanted to include a set of cards in her clients’ final photo packages that they could then use personally to send to loved ones. she selected a few of her favorite images and we overlayed the touching quote above on each.

wishing everyone a happy heart day this saturday!

the big day: maria + ross.

maria + ross were married in late august at the manor house at commonwealth in horsham, pennsylvania. they had an elegant day with just the right touch of gold sparkle! we adore their glittery cake topper. wishing these fun newlyweds a very happily ever after!

work wednesday: conklin family holiday card.

we’re excited to finally share alison conklin’s family holiday card! she wanted to go in a non-traditional route with colors and style. of course she had an awesome photo to use of her boys tossing paper snow confetti! alison gave us words of gratitude that we used as a wall paper framing the offset photo. the letterpress inks we chose were influenced by the boys’ outfits. we used a knit chevron pattern as an envelope liner and letterpressed her return address in a translucent white onto the navy envelope flap. the envelope was finished off with a fun wrap around address label.

work wednesday: alison conklin editorial brochure.

a delicious promo piece for the fabulous photographer, alison conklin! alison does more than just weddings these days — check out her most recent site to see her latest shots of food + lifestyle. alison has photographed the likes of dallas shaw, lilliana vazquez and those infamous brown betty cupcakes for their very first cookbook. she requested a promotional piece that was simple + fresh for her photos to shine. we designed a petite accordion-style brochure which would be mailed out in a glassine envelope with a large wrap around label. we wish her the absolute best in this new venture!

work wednesday: love me do photography.

the ladies of love me do photography were looking for a fresh new logo that represented their organic and artistic style. they loved the idea of combining a girly handwritten script with some simple typography. this is where we called in one of our favorite calligraphers, lindsey bee. lindsey created a few variations of cursive lettering for us to work with, along with some drawn floral and leaf elements. as you can see in our initial black and white sketches, we worked together to find the perfect balance of rustic and modern style. we are pleased with how the final logo turned out and feel it fits the personalities of the girls at love me do perfectly!

work wednesday: suzanne delaney photography.

our talented photographer friend, suzanne delaney came to us with a little idea. she wanted a petite business card that could hold a petite photo. appropriately enough, our other good friend allie, of petite rue, designed her logo. we took that beautiful logo and had it letterpressed onto 1 piece of cranes lettra paper. we had another piece of the same paper die cut with 4 slits to house a miniature 2″ x 2″ photo that sue is able to change freely. these 2 pieces are then adhered back to back creating a perfectly thick business card. sue is having so much fun handing out her cards and seeing people react to the unexpected surprise on the back!
this post was delayed a day due to a small studio opening we had for family yesterday!
