loveleigh’s latest: mixie chics

we are happy to share this fresh new logo that we whipped up for mixie chics, 4 friends who just want to bake someone happy! these gals create the most beautiful and scrumptious french macarons with a touch of american flair. they wanted their logo to represent their bright, positive and kind hearts. the stack of 4 macarons represents all 4 friends and the palette was inspired by their array of colorful flavors. from cheerful chocolate mint, lovely lemon to whipped cinnamon dream, they love to try new flavor combinations, so definitely keep your eyes on their flavor list. whose day wouldn’t be brightened after tasting their precious treats! if you are interested in placing an order please email: you can also follow the fun on insta @mixiechics.

we are just thrilled to be a part of their dream!

work wednesday: polis ventures.

we recently developed branding for a new investment company, polis ventures. they envisioned a modern yet traditional logo that reflected growth, elevation and also gave us the freedom to explore the acropolis and spartan/greek elements. their new business cards were letterpress on a double thick cover stock. the navy and grey logo stands alone on the front and their contact information is on the back. we wish raheem + omar best of luck in their new endeavor!

work wednesday: love me do photography.

the ladies of love me do photography were looking for a fresh new logo that represented their organic and artistic style. they loved the idea of combining a girly handwritten script with some simple typography. this is where we called in one of our favorite calligraphers, lindsey bee. lindsey created a few variations of cursive lettering for us to work with, along with some drawn floral and leaf elements. as you can see in our initial black and white sketches, we worked together to find the perfect balance of rustic and modern style. we are pleased with how the final logo turned out and feel it fits the personalities of the girls at love me do perfectly!

work wednesday: kristel closets.

kristel closets, inc. is an image consulting + personal shopping agency owned by megan kristel. with offices in philadelphia and the washington d.c. area, they service clients throughout pennsylvania, new jersey, delaware, maryland and virginia. they provide individual/corporate closet and wardrobe edits and personal styling/shopping services for both men and women. the well dressed woman is their monthly workshop held in their ardmore, pennsylvania studio. if that isn’t enough, megan also has her own blog the well dressed life!

when megan came to us she already had the existing logo for kristel closets, inc. she was in the process of starting a training branch of the company, style maker university. this is where she would teach aspiring stylists the fundamentals of earning a living in the styling/personal shopping world. in addition, we designed a logo for (launching soon!) which will be the umbrella company for both kristel closets, inc. and style maker university.

megan wanted her new logos to reflect the look of the existing mark for kristel closets, inc. she wanted the style to be simple, clean, modern and orange!

work wednesday: alexandra & company.

2010 holiday card for dc event planners alexandra & company. since the weather is getting cooler and the holidays are getting closer, it is time to start thinking about your holiday greeting cards!

alexandra’s card was an oversized, double-sided letterpressed card. she asked that we use her company blue and wanted something whimsical and wintry.
during the design process, a new company logo was born!

shortly after the cards, we created a logo for alexandra’s editquette classes how to hold fork.
