in honor of alison and aaron’s upcoming one year anniversary we are celebrating this festive invitation suite. the couple’s ceremony was held at holy cross church in philadelphia followed by a reception at the philadelphia cricket club. per the bride’s request, we used a christmas present as inspiration for their december wedding invitation suite. the invitation was printed with a seasonal combo of gold foil and forest green letterpress. the reception card was also printed using the same techniques which made those café lights sparkle! the rsvp card was printed in full color with a red and green plaid pattern and paired with a kraft envelope. the impeccably wrapped package was tied together with care with shiny gold ribbon and finished with a kraft pine tree tag. guests received their cheerful package in a digitally addressed kraft envelope. this suite gives us all the cozy holiday feelings!

we are reminiscing about our time spent at the shore this summer…taylor and thomas were married this past june at the stately shore deal golf and country club. taylor requested a stylish suite that struck a balance between beautiful and fun. the invitations were printed using shiny gold foil and navy letterpress to capture a touch of the nautical vibe they were seeking. the reply card was a retro jersey shore postcard inspired by the couple’s favorite destination. the website tag was printed on a metallic gold paper with a half hole punch to mimic a ride ticket for the infamous boardwalk rides. the collection was bundled together with a gold and natural twine and mailed out in navy envelopes addressed with gold calligraphy.
dana and andrew were married this past july at penn oaks golf club in west chester, pennsylvania. dana requested an elegant and romantic invitation with a touch of playful typography. the package started out as letterpress and evolved into a gold shine foil piece. we love how the delicate lines and laurels catch the light! the invitation was stacked with a lavender reply postcard and simple details card. these pieces were neatly held together with metallic bakers twine and a monogram tag. the invitation was mailed to guests in a matching white envelope with printed guest addressing.
joyce and jon are set to wed this summer in beautiful sonoma valley, california. this fun-loving couple has arranged an eventful wedding weekend for family and friends complete with barbeques, pool time, clay shooting and dinner at a hunting club to celebrate! while their big day sounds jam-packed, these two wanted something non-traditional and unfussy for their save the dates. with inspiration stemming from wes anderson’s the grand budapest hotel, this couple’s personalized coaster invitations were created! an illustrator provided this fantastic bear and badger duo to represent them which we letterpressed in black ink and gold metallic foil upon kraft chipboard. a pair of coasters were then placed inside a glassine envelope, sealed with a vintage style airmail sticker and perfectly bundled with patriotic twine. finally, their save the dates were shipped out in light gray, square envelopes with airmail style guest addressing. we are excited to work with this creative couple on their day of pieces!
kim and blake wed last may at the exotic olowalu plantation house in lahaina, hawaii. kim, creator of eat/sleep/wear (a fashion blog), and her fiancé desired a modern, clean design that resembled their beautiful ceremony space. with a dark green color scheme, and appropriated pops of hawaiian yellow, their invitations were stacked and include subtle touches of palm and pineapples. together the cards were tied off with natural white jute twine and a kraft tag featuring a gold foil pineapple. delivered in crisp white envelopes, their guests received hand addressed gold metallic ink by mandy from myrtle & lloyd. we couldn’t be happier with the completion of this project, and are pleased to find our work, along with snippets of their ceremony, featured in the most recent issue of brides magazine! check out the article here!
in addition to their wedding stationery, we also designed a corresponding holiday card for the newlyweds. these cards, of 5×7 size, featured a stunning black and white photo overlaid by the prettiest hawaiian christmas greeting. along with a clean, thin, gold foil font, their holiday cards were mailed in gold envelopes with coordinating wrap mailing labels.
this project has been one of our favorites thus far, and we are thrilled that kim and one of our dearest photographer friends, alison conklin, are teaming up with brides to offer an AMAZING giveaway. enter for a chance to win a free engagement session with alison here!
morgan and ezekiel tied the knot this past december with a destination wedding in tabernash, colorado just before the holiday season. their venue, the devil’s thumb ranch, which sits just below the breathtaking rocky mountains, proved to be the perfect backdrop for their big day and acted as a source of inspiration for their invitations. their oversized 6×9 invite combined an array of earthy colors and charming details, such as a black letterpress and angled handwriting by calligrapher danica butler. the invites were then enhanced by strategically placed touches of gold upon the edges, foiled names, and guest addressing. along with an online rsvp info card and a watercolor map of the couple’s story, also painted by danica, the invites were tied together with gold silk ribbon and wedding date tag before being shipped out in dark berry envelopes to their loved ones. we are pleased with the completion of this project and wish morgan and zeke a wonderful life together!
lauren and kyle requested a formal save the date to announce their upcoming winter wedding. she adored the look of traditional elegant scripts paired with classic serif fonts. we made this simple design dramatic by pressing it with exquisite gold foil onto matte black cover stock. their guest addresses were printed directly onto their ivory cotton envelopes in black ink. we are excited to get started working on their invitation suite!
this year, alison conklin and her family traveled to italy and while overseas the song rather be by clean bandit became their family anthem. alison felt the words of the song were so special and they truly encompassed how she felt about 2014. after a little collaboration with mandy from myrtle + lloyd, the song lyrics came to life and were printed in gold foil next to the cozy photograph of alison and geoff’s boys, jonas and moses. her olive green envelopes were letterpressed and lined with a swedish knit pattern and whimsically addressed by mandy in navy blue ink.
alison conklin found yet another beautiful quote about love that she wanted to share with her clients. it is from johnny cash describing his meaning of paradise. with a little collaboration with our new friend victoria from moira ink, we turned her beautiful calligraphy into shiny gold foil artwork. we hope alison’s clients love them as much as we do!
