dee’s daughter, mila is pretty obsessed with the dreamworks trolls movie. it’s her movie of choice these days and they are always jamming to the awesome soundtrack whenever in the car. when asked what kind of 3rd birthday she wanted, she responded with trolls + bowling of course! so they came up with a trowling party! dee created a fun invitation full of rainbows, glitter and a touch of troll hair texture to capture the vibe of the movie. her threenager was very pleased!
mila rae lyons turned one…i (dee) can’t believe it!!! her birthday was in january, but we celebrated with a big, rainbow-themed bash along with family and friends this weekend. the day was filled with fun, great food and of course a yummy rainbow layer cake (baked by my mom!) i had so much fun designing all of the party materials from the rainbow watercolor favors for the kiddies to her one year fact poster. we are so grateful that alison conklin could come and take such amazing shots so we can always remember this day!
with valentine’s day quickly approaching, we are happy to share miss mila’s first birthday party invitation! i (dee) just love the wizard of oz and used that as my inspiration for her somewhere over the rainbow party theme. i designed a flat, double-sided card full off happy hearts, rainbows, arrows and hand-drawn fonts. our friend ralph of pink bike ralph, screen printed them with the most beautiful shimmery gold metallic ink i have ever seen. i tied them all with rainbow or red ruby slipper ribbon and then mailed them in red envelopes which i hand addressed in metallic gold ink. i can’t wait to share her big day with you all!
rainbows, hearts + gold for a somewhere over the rainbow first birthday party invitation!
we had a blast working with rachel and her mom, debbie, when we designed rachel’s bat mitzvah save the date, invitations and celebration materials a few years ago. so when they came to us to design rachel’s sweet 16 invitation package, of course we were thrilled! they both adore pink and loved the idea of something cute and tiny. we created an itty-bitty folded pink and white invitation that was placed into a shiny white box and wrapped with a matching striped address label. in addition, rachel asked for custom thank you notes…pink of course! we wish miss rachel a super happy sweet 16!
